Bears in camp The Moore Bears opened up their 2007 training camp August 2 at the Bears Training Facility. Head Coach and Director of Player Personel Jim West was busy this offseason re-signing his marquee players and scouring the free agent market. The Bears added 3 players to the roster this season, adding more talent to a team that finished last season as league champions and All City Runner -up. With a high powered offense and a smothering defense, this season's Bears appear to be poised and ready to make a run for an unprecedented 3rd All City Championship and 5th consecutive league championship. Coach West says this team is the most talented team he has coached, "All of our backs run hard and can take it to the house at any time". After practicing in shorts and helmets for the first week, the Bears strapped on the pads and started hitting, in preperation for the Preseason Tournament in Moore. The Bears opened the preseason against a fired up Titans team. It did not take long for the Bears to get rolling, scoring on their opening posession. From there it was more of the same as the Bears scored on all but 2 of their offensive possessions. The Titans offense was not able to get anything going against the vaunted Bears defense. Another shutout, this time only allowing 1 first down the entire game.
