WORDS FROM THE COACH 11/11/04 HELLO BEARS; WELL HERE WE ARE AT THE END OF THE SEASON. BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR PARENTS. YOU GUYS ARE SUCH A GREAT GROUP TO COACH FOR. IT TAKES A LOT OF TRUST TO LET ANOTHER PERSON BE AN INFLUENCE ON YOUR BOYS. I'M GLAD THAT YOU TRUST ME, AND OUR OTHER COACHES. Sloberknocking City, population 18 (Bears). You guys were popping kids last night. That's the best blocking I've seen all year and I appreciated the good sportsmanship when you helped kids up after the play. Great lead blocking on our run plays. Defense did a great job firing off the ball and attacking the play in their backfield. Great team effort. I was excited to hear about how well everybody executed their plays and took care of their positions. It was also exciting to hear that we had 5 different running backs score. Congratulations to the Hurricanes for a well played game. We started out sloppy on offense in the first half. The defense played great football all through the game. Great job holding them on the 5 yard line and not letting the Hurricanes score. Second half the Bears came alive. Excellent blocking on offense allowed us to score 2 touchdowns. One touchdown by Tanner Brannon and one touchdown by Colton Lindsey, and an extra point by Corbin Castle. Great blocking opened up big holes. Tonight's "BIG STICK" was awarded to Colton Lindsey. Good Job Boys Coach West 8/30/04 Hey Bears; Well you survived the pre-season tournament. Great job this weekend. Our Defense looked great. Three games and only one touchdown scored on us. Offense was very productive as well. I think we had around 60 points scored altogether. I appreciate your willingness to play hard. Thanks for a great weekend. Now let's ready for a great season. Running backs cannot score touchdowns unless you guys block, and you guys blocked great. Excellent job on defense. Great containment on the ends and a great job shutting down the middle.
