Bears Winning Streak Ends at 35

The Moore Bears League winning streak came to an end Saturday as the Moore Jaguars defeated the Bears 12-6 in Overtime. The Bears held a lead in to the 4th quarter, only to see the Jags tie the game on a nice run around the right end. The Bears Defense played another outstanding game, dominating the Jags for all of regulation. Derek Rogers recorded his 1st interception of the season to stop the Jags after they had taken over on downs deep in Bears territory.

The Bears offense could never get on track as the Jags swarmed to the ball. The Jags did an outstanding job of tackling and limited the Bears to very little yards after contact. It was a hard fought game on both sides of the ball. Jags played extremely well and played with great emotion. The Bears, Sooners and Jags, are all tied atop the standings with only one loss.

The Bears look to rebound Thursday night against the Sooners. A win Thursday and the Bears are back in the driver's seat to win the league and the Number 1 seed in the All City Championships.

This week's Big Stick went to Jonathon Palmer.
