Bears Open Training Camp


The Moore Bears opened their 2006 training camp August 1st. Veterans and Rookies both reported in T-Shirts and Shorts. After the first week of conditioning Coach West went to full pads. The Bears are looking to defend their league and all city championships that they won last year. Head Coach and General Manager Jim West made several key off season acquisition. Austin Freeman, Hunter Bishop, McKale Washington, Michael Griffen and Colten Humphrey were added, giving the Bears depth at several key positions. The Bears lost two veteran players. Hunter Crawford, who signed a free agent contract with the Panthers, and Jarrett Wingfield, who is concentrating his efforts on the soccer field.

Coach West expects this season to be exciting and is looking to run his string of League titles to 4. The Bears have won 33 consecutive league games.
